The Circle of Life has times of peace and times of trouble. In line with the topic of discussion we will look into times of Trouble
Time of Trouble
Such times are seen through their characteristics and causes.
Characteristics
Times of trouble are characterized by conflict at three levels namely Inner, Intra and Inter.
Inner conflict speaks to distress within ones self,
Intra conflict speaks to division within a community and,
Inter conflict speaks to unrest amongst groups of people
Causes
Within the three levels of conflict we can see varying causes for times of trouble:
Some are man-made,
Some are a result of demonic activities or
Sometimes God Himself may allow for times of trouble to occur in accordance to His sovereign will and intended outcome
Throughout this we should know that:
"The value of our petitions is that they turn us in confidence toward the God who loves us, allowing His work to be more effective in us, and through us in others. Therefore, by interceding we take refuge in faith in the enfolding community of all the redeemed where each is responsible for all."
The Decisive Importance of Intercessory Prayer
Intercessory prayer is significant because doing so we:
Acknowledge God's presence, power, and wisdom
Share in the Father's redemptive love
Align our human desperate needs to God's will
The Most effective way to intercede in times of trouble
To reach effective intercession we need to ensure that:
1. We renew our zeal for the Lord and love for the people we are praying for
